Why did you create HansCreations?
HansCreations was founded when my new husband and I had to find a way to plan a creative wedding on a budget. I decided to put my artistic skills to use and make my own decorations! People couldn't believe I had made everything myself! I made a ring box and many other items (which I featured at my own wedding) and had so much fun that I wanted to share my creativity with others. I love to do all types of crafts and paint in my spare time.It is my true passion and it makes me happy! :)
Why handmade items AND vintage items?
My love for vintage items originates from my childhood. Most of my summer vacations were spent in a rustic Swedish cottage where my grandmother was born. The home was built in the 1800's and laid nestled on an in-let of the Baltic sea. I was always fascinated with all the antiques that filled the home. Each item had an individual story behind it. My obsession with antiques continued into my teens where I frequently visited thrift shops in L.A. and borrowed my mom's vintage clothing and jewerly. Today, I like to hunt for antique items for my store, especially ones from Europe.
